Clayton Winkleman

Clayton Winkleman, age 71, of Morehead, KY, departed this life February 23, 2026, at his home. Born in West Liberty, KY, on May 16, 1954, son of William Walter Winkleman and Dora Belle Duvall Winkleman. He was a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle of Jesus Christ, Morehead, KY. He was a bus driver for Elliott County Schools for 33 years. He took care of his parents, Walter & Belle. He enjoyed going to auctions, loved his dog Goober and riding his ATV, and attended church.

Surviving are two sisters, Dianna Hitch and Ava Sue & Junior Hitch, both of Morehead, KY. Host of nieces, nephews, and family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Walter and Dora Belle Duvall Winkleman; his wife, Rebecca Winkleman; his siblings, Fred, Ray, Paul, Roger, and Carl Winkleman; Thelma Winkleman; Dorothy Slusher; Hazel Offutt; Darlene Brown; and Yvonne Shults.

Graveside services and interment will be held at 3:30pm, Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Howard Cemetery, Sandy Hook, KY, with Rev. Arnold Ison officiating.
